GummyWorm SpiderWeb

"I am my music. If an explanation is necessary, then I'm not doing it correctly. Well, or your not listening."
GummyWorm SpiderWeb was started in an attempt to remodel the way music is portrayed in mainstream's society. "GwSw" thinks that the general population exists in a vegetative state content with the inane attempts at fame and fortune that is our generation's music industry. Their goal is to make music that forces you to think independently, but tastefully.
GummyWorm SpiderWeb is also extremely active in non profits/charities such as We Are Not for
Sale Campaign, PETA and Autism Speaks.

Silent Cities

Having nothing but an acoustic guitar, a cheap banjo and a voice Simon Maddison under his alias; Silent Cities, would come to write and record many songs that were stripped down on approach to the basic principles of finger-picking, harmonies and deep cryptic lyrical themes. Performing and recording around the Liverpool underground Folk scene, Silent Cities aims to offer songs that take influence from the likes of Bon Iver, Patrick Watson, Nick Drake and many other artists from around the world"

Peter Wright

Born and raised in Croydon, South London UK, moved to Warwick in the Midlands UK at the age of 18, married and raised 3 children, 2 daughters and a son, started playing guitar and keyboard at the age of 26, gigged through the 1980's in various bands. In the late 1990's/2000 decided i'd prefer a more laid back approach to musical creation and spent more time recording my own sounds, my daughters joined me as backing vocalists, i guess you could say "it's now a musical family affair". Having been through the 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's etc of musical genres i now love to play into any sounds, all i can say is....Bring it on lets rock!

Timothy Clark

Timothy is a blind individual with dreams of making it in the ever changing music industry. He knows however, that he will have to work for it as he has had to work for all the blessings in life that he has. He counts his life as a blessing from God. He said in an interview, "I remember listening to the radio and hearing shows from Focus on the Family and I was like, wow, this stuff is great." After that he studied more of the Bible and became a christian. He was born into a Christian home but he questioned a lot of things. He says, "I still question things such as Jesus walking on water but I believe that if he truly was theson of God then why not."
Timothy was born an amazing 3 months early and do to that happening in his life he was born blind. He says   however, "I have had a lot of people ask me, if I could would I get my eyesight back? I have to confidently tell them no. They go on to ask me why and I tell them that if God wanted me to be blind then God can hill me when the time is correct for an event such as that to take place."
Timothy is one of the few people who is actually open about his blindness. He says, "if I am not open about it then who will be. And not only that but how will people get their questions answered when they have them. Why not me who is actually blind to answer them and possibly even to walk them on the road of faith."
Timothy has a large fan base online and he knows that this is only the first steps of him making a difference in another's life

Betty Donelly

Based, born and raised in the suburbs of Brussels, Betty Donelly has come a long way before giving a whole new meaning to the indie rock genre, due to the sheer uniqueness of being a soft-androgyne , woman in transition ..
Betty Donelly, who's main influences include THE CURE, DAVID BOWIE, PIXIES and THE BEATLES, has been covering some different styles throughout the eighties, nineties and 2000's, from downright curish old skool, over pixies like music, to what has now become something of a signature genre Betty's dubbed witch rock!
In 1984 a culture shock shook Betty Donelly after hearing THE CURE on the home radio ..
After being in THE FEAR, and THE ELEPHANTS, which led to her evolving into a band leader and multiinstrumentalist, BETTY DONELLY really kicked off her solo act when she wrote MY UNTOUCHABLE FRIEND and THE VOID in 2004.
Now, in 2010, with numerous positive explosive comments and reviews, Betty Donelly is ready to take on the world by surprise with her 90 minute set of absolute wonderful gems of songs, most of which can be found on her debut album ...
Nightmares of love.

The Mad Pride

'The Mad Pride' is the brainchild of singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Rowan Galagher. Having been compared to Syd Barrett, David Bowie, Nick Cave, Radiohead and Leonard Cohen, all attempts to pigeon-hole his music within a genre-based paradigm of stylistic reductionism have failed.

During 2009 and 2010 Rowan released 3 original albums in which he moved seamlessly from avant-garde psych-folk experimentation to neoclassical soundscapes and beyond. His DIY ethic has motivated him to play the majority of the instruments himself and record them alone in his Wollongong based apartment.

With an uncompromising commitment to emotional authenticity and a wider goal of positive social change, Rowan is driven to make honest and progressive music. He is constantly pushing the boundaries of conventional genres and seeks to forge a new platform in the contemporary musical landscape. It would appear that he is succeeding at this as, aside from the aforementioned artists, Rowan's music has also been compared to Jacques Brel, Mr Bungle, Danny Elfman, Jeff Martin, Muse, Grizzly Bear, Midlake and David Sylvian.

'The Mad Pride' is a reference to the mass movement known as 'Mad Pride'. "Mad Pride activists seek to re-educate the general public on such subjects as the causes of mental disorders, the experiences of those using the mental health system, and the global suicide pandemic."

Debbie Goodman

Debbie Goodman went from rocking "music row" in Nashville, Tennessee to jamming "the strip" in Los Angeles, California.  She went from touring the eastern coast of the United States while fronting a rock band, to playing every place you've heard of (House of Blues, The Viper Room, etc) with just her voice and her guitar...Whether she is fronting her now rock and blues band, or getting more intimate with just her and her guitar and her bongo player, her mesmerizingly beautiful vocals will take you on a journey through all the songs that come from her heart.

Terry Lingwood

Terry Lingwood's love for music can only be surpassed by his love for his children. This father of three has currently recorded several songs on youtube most  of which are original works with some parodies. Terry has worked closely in both the security industry and entertainment industry. Terry was born with mild spina bifida . He has recorded an astounding single for the Baby Jacob Millstreet appeal,a cover of Labi Siffre's hit 'Something inside so strong' with 'The Project' which is currently available to download on iTunes ... Not bad for a fella whose parents were told "he'd probably never walk!"

Sheena Bratt

Sheena Bratt: Singer/Songwriter based in the North West UK
Peace, truth and love!

*** ‘My Muse And I’ is now available on ITunes and all the major online stores! ***

Since childhood Sheena Bratt (previously known as Sheena Rowley) has been passionate about the magic of music. She has worked as a Primary Teacher in the UK and has taught all ages in Thailand. She did a Post Graduate Certificate in Education with Modern Foreign Languages, after her BA (Hons) in Law & Philosophy. She sees music as an outlet for a message - of love, fun and global change & harmony.

After tinkering with many instruments, she now mostly plays guitar and sings. Her performance and writing days began at primary school and she's busked, gigged and recorded all over the place (and in other countries), solo and in bands. For herself and for charity. She absolutely loves the whole process, the writing, recording and playing live. She loves many different types of music, all kinds of things in life inspire her to write and her music has been described as folk/country/blues/indie/pop but it doesn't really fall into a set category. She has in the past recorded a 4 track CD, a live album, and recorded individual tracks with many people - including internationally successful DJs and producers Hemstock&Jennings, who she also sang live for at the Foundation in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, a big dance club. She's supported Glen Tilbrook (of Squeeze) and was also featured a few years ago at the Unsigned Showcase at Nantwich's Folk and Roots Festival. Recently, Mojo Records took an interest in her and featured one of her tracks (Fire In Your Eyes) on their webpages, she's also featured on their website as an artist they're working with. She also had a regular slot singing at The Comedy Store before she went travelling. She presented a radio show in Thailand for a while and has performed live on various radio shows, her recorded tracks have been played on various stations too. She's now very excited to be working with a new band called Gilded Rain, with other exciting projects in the pipeline, including her new solo album. She’s also recently put together an 8-piece band to give a  funky sound to her acoustic tracks. Keys, sax, harmonica, bongos, drums, bass, lead and rhythm guitars.

She feels very privileged to soon be working with Rockin Russ (DJ/Producer/Promoter) who's on the Rocked music label. Their first collaborative release will be a track called 'In  Spirit'. He and the Rocked team are 'putting Stoke back on the map' re. the dance music scene; As said by BBC Radio 1 DJ Kutski, who played a quality track of his recently. She'll also be working with James Williams (and other producers on the Airspace label) also in the Rocked crew, who is producing some equally fine dance music. A release will be out soon on the Airspace label, a track called 'With You' by DC, the vocals for which have been co-written between Sheena and the label owner.

She's equally as excited about another new collaboration, a chilled electronic project with the very talented, established dance music producer Robbie Fithon, who is signed to 6193 Recordings.

Last but by no means least, she feels hugely privileged to be being considered to play at Earthday Brasil 2011 Festival, an amazing festival for peace and global change, happening in Rio this year. http://www.earthdaybrasil.com

Johny Broadway

"As the sun sets behind the aging, crooked grin of the Detroit skyline, a poet contemplates the coming
stars from a bench on the other shore. In the distance, he can hear a band sing 'I'm crossing you
in style someday...' and the poet knows it's true."
Johnny Broadway is a Canadian singersongwriter originally from Windsor, Ontario who finds his home these days in the heart of the prairies, Winnipeg, Manitoba. His upcoming album Room 213 explores the lives of
people on the road, coming or going, searching for and finding their way home. Room 213 includes eleven stories that all happen in or around one motel room in Grand Forks, North Dakota, including a cleaning
maid, an affair, a runaway, a Christmas visit, a special phone call, a road trip, car troubles, a criminal running from the law, and the law catching up with him.

There's a whole world out there to explore, where Johnny's songs chase hopes and dreams down highways and open seas.

Described as everything from "Paul McCartney meets Andy Kaufman" to "a young Robert Smith", but comparisons aside, Johnny Broadway is "impossible to dislike and impossible to ignore."

Quotes/Reviews/Press:

"Johnny Broadway has the unique ability to inject heart-touching meaning into eccentric melodies. Truly creative... truly an artist."
– Jaylene Johnson
"Johnny Broadway has a compelling, unique stage presence. Whether he's regaling the crowd with his quirky stories or grabbing their attention with his expressive songwriting, Johnny is impossible to dislike and impossible to ignore."
– Stephen Johns
"Johnny Broadway may have been raised in the shadows of Motown, but don't expect any Berry Gordy antics on the former Windsorite's debut Discoverers. This is strictly singersongwriter stuff, although Broadway shows plenty of pluck and charisma. Armed with an uber-earnest voice and an arsenal of heart-onsleeve, indie-pop confessionals, he bounces between wistful melancholy and sunny optimism so deftly he even manages to pull off wince-worthy lyrics like 'I'm such a puppy for your loveliness.' No easy feat."
– David Schmeichel, The Winnipeg Sun
"On Discoverers, his first proper full-length release, Winnipeg by way of Ontario native Johnny Broadway puts forth a collection of heartfelt songs that ask listeners to explore the ebbs and flows of interpersonal relationships. The album's themes are centered around the desire to leave, the forces that keep us where we
are and the internal struggle we face when we're holding on while simultaneously trying to let go. There's also a pretty solid boat theme running like an undercurrent throughout the album. This might all turn real cheesy real fast if Mr. Broadway wasn't so melodically competent, and capable of turning phrases and hooks like he's working overtime in the crank factory. Where Broadway really shines though is on Discoverer's standout track, The Last Town in Ontario, where he intones: "We've many miles yet to go, through every inch of falling snow, to the last town in Ontario." It's moments like these that make listeners realize that Johnny might really be on to something. Though the tracks may not appeal to those who like their rocking a tad less precious, it'd
be hard for any music fan to not appreciate the breadth and scope of Broadway's songwriting, not to mention his relentless penchant for romance and the romantic. It doesn't hurt that Johnny's packing his metaphorical boats with boatloads of hummable melodies, either. Discoverers is a definite must hear out for fans of likewise lovelorn softies like Hawksley Workman and Danny Michel. Try it; It'll probably float your boat."
– Jarrett Storey, Stylus Magazine

Johnny Broadway Does It For The Ladies by Jen Zoratti (CHARTattack)
I've been on all sorts of interviews, but this was the first one that involved flowers, a limousine and a dinner. If that's not enough to prove that singer/songwriter Johnny Broadway is bringing the romance back to Winnipeg, then perhaps his collection of equally romantic songs will be enough to convince you. Discoverers, his endearing debut, is much more than meets the ear. The album listens like a loose narrative about a relationship, but it's not quite what you have in mind. "It's actually more about how to detach myself from a place I'd been for 18 years and reattach myself to a new place," Broadway says. "That's more the undercurrent. It's still a relationship, but it's a different kind of relationship." Broadway is referring to his long-term relationship with the 'Peg. The Windsor, Ont. native packed up his guitar, quit his scrappy punk outfit and made the move to Winnipeg as a starry-eyed 18-year-old. Why Winnipeg you ask? For a girl, of course.
"Yes, I moved here for a girl," Broadway laughs. "I was the lead guitarist in our concert band in high school. It was terrible. We had about 16 drummers because kids just like to hit shit. So we thought we'd organize a trip to show this off to the world." The band, complete with a healthy triangle section, headed off to Minneapolis. It was there where Broadway met his dream girl — a private school rebel with a punk rock haircut from Winnipeg. Perhaps taking The Beatles' advice a little too close to heart, "love is all you need" was definitely a mantra for the singer, now 25. With no money and in a new city, Broadway was determined to make it work
even as the relationship ended after two years."I would have quit making music if I hadn't moved here," Broadway says. "I would have been in Windsor, still writing 'I still hate you,
mom' songs." For a date, we spend a lot of time talking about ex-girlfriends. But relationships have long provided themselves as a perfect muse for those who have a romantic's way with words. Sometimes, however, it's a bit less calculated than that. "Sometimes I just wake up with a song," Broadway says. "I don't know where they come from, and I have a hard time taking credit for something that's just sort of there. I just try to sound appreciative." Lyrics like "I'm a puppy for your loveliness" are in sharp contrast to his angst-fuelled punk days in Windsor. Going solo allowed Broadway's lyrical ability to come to the fore. Discoverers is certainly pared-down and lo-fi, but it's all his. "When I was in a band, I wasn't a songwriter," Broadway says. "It was never mine. I never felt that ownership you feel when it's your own. The album is definitely on the raw side of things. It's not very James Blunt-y." But the dude is still, well, a dude. There was a time when the motive for picking up a guitar was far less poetic. "Eventually it was about the girls," Broadway laughs. "No kid can deny that. Girls are screaming because you're on stage. That's awesome. We had a few brassieres flung at us in the punk days."
Johnny Broadway's CD release party is Sunday at the Academy Bar & Eatery.
