The IndieFunda Begins...

Dear friends as you can guess from the banner above, we are moving to our new beta site http://indiefunda.com/.  We are building it to work as community based platform for all the people who love music. I personally invite you all to sign up there and start writing your own posts about your or others people music. We give to the members absolute author rights from the very beginning and encouraging them to create rich articles full of edgy texts, audio and visuals. Federico Balducci

He attended the Universidad Interamericana where he studied Jazz guitar he further his classical guitar skills at the university of Puerto Rico where he studied with the great Juan Sorroce , Javier de la torre and Gustavo Bastista among other greats. He also study composition and guitar at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico with Alberto Rodriguez, and he studied at Berklee School of Music to further develop his jazz and arrangement skills.


Federico's improvising style was initially influenced by guitarists such as Pat Martino and Joe Pass, but has emerged as an individual stylist whose lines are lengthy and linear, akin to the approach of musicians such as John Coltrane, Keith Jarrett and Allan Holdsworth. His chordal language is amongst the more advanced for a guitarist, touching on ideas from George Van Eps, Lenny Breau.

He has play with many important artist from Puerto Rico among them are Lannie Battistini, Pablito el Indio Rosario, Charlie Figueroa,Enrique Cardenas and many others.

He finish his first production that will include original compositions and arrangements of songs from the late Sylvia rexach in which he plays 6, 7 and 10 strings guitars.

Zen Garden

Zen Garden were born in 2007 by core- creators Stefanos Tortopoglou (Music: Synths, Guitars, Samplers, Programming) and Roxani Garefalaki (Vocals, Lyrics, Performance: stilts, silks) both of whom are on an ongoing journey through the corridors of music. It is a circle of people in an interactive creation, which integrates:
Yiannis Smeros and Yianna Medvedeva in Aerial Acrobatics- silks, Physical Theatre- stilts, Spyros K. (bell), member of Visual Vibe Project in live Visual environment, Michalis Mazis in Bass and guitar, Live Percussionists: Manolis Kambouris, Tolis Metso , Giorgos Koukoulis, and the technical crew: Kostis Margas in lighting design, Stefanos Konstantinidis - sound design, Crystalia Basta - Stage manager, Konstantina Krigkou- costumes.
They have participated in live acts around Greece (Ghost House ,Club Mansion, Soul Club, Void dance bar, Olympia Mall -Trikala 25.10.08 etc), dressed with music the production “Deva” of the DanceTheatre Synergion of Arts and of the DanceTheatre Fygein Adynaton “Facts and Faculties”, while on the other hand they have taken part in the music orchestration of artmentary Chania/Eco.
In 2008 they create the ‘Feeling in Process’ project with which they were the opening act in Juno Reactor Live in Athens (19.4.08), and the opening act of international Aurora Festival (Kavala 25.8.08).
They participated in free concerts for the familiarization of public spaces (Propilaia 19/12/08), the festival of University of Ioanina and festivals like Eco Festival and the Void Network’s Space Technologies- Kratiras Theatre, Electro Free festival, Indie Free festival ‘09.
With their project ‘Semantic’ they opened the Future Sound of London in Athens-23/5/09 at Olympic Softball stadium- Elliniko. Moreover they perform also with their projects: AudioVisual live set and electroacoustic live quartet. In all their projects they explore and look into the creation of an experience which travels through musical landscapes, marrying electronic with natural sound, as well as the magic of live visual art and movement.

Harlequins Enigma

Harlequins enigma was founded in 2008 by åge riisnes. for 3 tough years 600 tracks were made. the band played many a song with sara jensen, elin berge & a little later katie leung. the band had international help from artists: klaus schulze, vangelis, jean michel jarre, tori amos,dave weckl, jan garbarek, kitaro, chick corea, tangerine dream, emma watson, atjazz & others. 6 albums & 6 singles have been released in 2011. where the free service hello music rated 2 albums unique, & stargazer had a 3.0 of 5 score & dark light had a 3.5 of 5 score. however the hello music company is no longer used as a resource.. a video is out from stargazer, called stargazer I - moon phase & can be viewed at youtube, metacafe & tubewatcher.tv - the original can be reached via our microstore @ http://www.harlenia.com (our homepage), along with all 6 albums!. the homepage was officialy launched 06.05.2011 & you are most welcome in - many songs have been added & i hope you enjoy the music & enjoy our new homepage. the future will bring a full set of octagon releases, 8 in all. as said before, octagon also has 8 genres in its respective volumes. right now harlequins enigma is preparing octagon volume 2, a triple dance album in multiple dance styles. - åge riisnes / harlequins enigma may 2011
